Now I feel happy as directors do think

This film Badhaai Ho! gave me so much and I am thankful for it. I am very happy with my present professional stint. If Badhaai Ho! would have not proved its success at the box office, then I would have not received so much of offers. Like the web-series Panchayat on Amazon, everything is complete; I have done a film with Sanjay Mishra titled Gwalior; Masaba Masaba series will also be telecast on Netflix, and I have done a film with Nikhil Advani which is yet untitled. Every character is there around the story most of the time, and each one’s contribution is literally much needed,” she explains.Be it flaunting her new look on social media or painting the town red in her daughter Masaba Gupta’s fashion line, Neena Gupta has had a career resurgence of epic proportions. Let’s hope for the best to come,” she says, adding that she has been reaching out to filmmakers herself.”.

In fact, now I feel happy as directors do think about me,” she muses. “I expect that I should get more good roles, but I don’t know whether I will get better roles or not. This film is very different, and has Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet in it,” she says. “Whatever hard work I have put in 2019, it will bear fruits for me in 2020. “I am sure Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari (director) will give me a role in her film if there is some role that would suit me. She says that the former film’s ensemble cast brings a different energy to the movie. It’s better to be working rather sitting at home,” she avers. But whatever I have got until this day, I do feel humble about it.Speaking about her happy second innings, Neena concludes, “You rightly say that directors are ready to cast me, this happens when your film is a hit at the box office and it is a fact one can’t deny.

“I have become more greedy, and I, unhesitatingly, call up directors to look for any suitable role, if there is one in their script. I am definitely greedy and wish to get more and more substantial roles now.The actress reveals that her hard work is finally paying off, as she has a slew of projects in the works. The 60-year-old finds that her filmy journey has been a fruitful one, even though she isn’t sure about where it is heading. It has an ensemble cast, but it’s not like anyone’s scenes are less or more. And as for metalized Polyester film Panga, the veteran actress is just happy to be part of the ride. “My last film was very different, and the story of this film is very different.Meanwhile, Neena can also be seen in Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan, as well as Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut

We talk about films going abroad

“The makers down south have a great vision. But making successful films with a bang on narrative, vision, and technology will always remain with the southern filmmakers only,” he said. However, the filmmaker is all praises for southern filmmakers.. Similarly, for 2. The filmmaker, who feels nothing less than being honoured to be associated with SS Rajamouli first and now S Shankar, finds it important that the real crossover in cinema happens internally. After making Baahubali a hit in the North, producer-director Karan Johar is coming up with another film from the South — 2. “To be able to direct a film in a language, you need to know that language. Baahubali is a successful example and now with 2. They have taken risks and have made us feel inferior to them, this I am saying on a positive note.0, we have to bridge the crossover with a true vision. The narrative and technology successes will always be with southern filmmakers.

There shouldn’t be a fear and we need to take risks with films that are different.”Karan, who admires Rajamouli and Shankar’s vision of filmmaking and who has grown up watching their work, doesn’t find himself directing a film for the South. It is now with your name that our film will get distributed to every nook and corner.0 without actually contributing anything in the making of the film, the director, Shankar cuts him in, “But you have worked for so many years to earn the name. Baahubali is a true example that was made in Telugu but worked well in the North and elsewhere. Also, with not being able to get success in acting here, it is certain that I will never be working as an actor or a host down south,” he said.0. Since I do not understand the South Indian languages, I will never be able to do justice to the film,” he said. Crossover is a movement that needs to be encouraged irrespective of the language.

We talk about films going abroad, but true crossover of films need to happen between the industries. In Bollywood, we like to play safe, we don’t wish to change our mindset. It is indeed helping them prove that our films too can match with that of the West. Their narrative is meeting technology bang on.0, I’ll say it’s CPP film proceeding towards the true quintessential movement,” he said. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made a change here though. So is it a big no-no to acting and hosting a South film? “Well! My debut film flopped.“The true crossover has to happen internally. In Bollywood, I am a flop actor, so I am not lucky. While he is quick to add that his name is attached to 2. I have given two flop films that I acted in

The study participants received a diagram

Pets also provide a consistent physical presence and often distract owners from symptoms or upsetting experiences such as suicidal thoughts. “Although the value of therapy animals for mental health problems is well documented, the nature of the role pets play in the everyday management of serious mental illness is underexplored,” said lead study author Helen Brooks of the University of Manchester. For instance, pets helped build stable and close relationships that weren’t available elsewhere, especially for those who stay mostly at home and have limited human contact, she said. About 60 percent placed pets in the closest circle to them, and 20 percent placed them in the second circle. Of the 54 participants, 25 considered their pets to be part of their social network. They asked questions about the relationship, value and meaning of pets in the owners’ lives. Stephany, who wasn’t involved with the study, coordinates with several community-based pet programs for those with mental illness.

Pets could play an active role in the treatment of their owners’ long-term mental health problems, according to authors of a small study in the United Kingdom.“This is probably only the second time I’ve seen a study so thoroughly look at where pets sit in the human-social system and how important pets may be,” said Jenny Stephany of Positive Connections, a Harrow, UK, nonprofit that connects people with companion animals.Brooks and colleagues conducted interviews with 54 people diagnosed with long-term mental health problems, focusing on the day-to-day experience of living with a mental illness.“Pets are of significant value to those managing serious mental illness and should be considered a mainstay rather than a marginal source of support,” she told Reuters Health.”

The study participants received a diagram with three concentric circles around a square representing the pet owner. “I can trust him (my dog) more than people,” one participant said.”Another participant said, “(The cat) knows when to come on my lap and when to leave me alone.Researchers MPET film online found that many pets were seen as the most valuable and central social support in owners’ lives, often providing secure relationships not available through human ties. I don’t have to tell him, he just senses me, you know, he just senses my feelings. “When you’re like this, you lose a lot of trust in people, family as well, because you tend not to tell them things because the less you tell them, the less they can say. They were asked to write in the names of people, places and things that gave them support.

The success of a film doesn’t depend only on the actress

”.Rakul Preet Singh echoes her thoughts.Taapsee Pannu is not one to mince words, so when she opened up about her struggle as a debutant actress, her story posted on Humans of Bombay went viral. “There are hardly any roles for women where they can perform well, the roles are not very strong or on par with the lead actor, so when the film flops, how can it be because of the girl? Giving such tags is not just mean, it is unfair as well,” adds Lavanya. While there is no justification about the logic behind this tag, director Teja explains why this happens. The term ‘iron leg’ is loosely used for someone who brings bad luck to a film and more often than not, it is the actresses who get blamed when a film flops. I was ‘rumoured’ to bring bad luck to films,” read Taapsee’s post, while adding, “These films had huge male co-stars and directors, but the failure of was blamed upon my bad luck. “The industry is dominated by men, unlike other industries where wholesale ALOx film the focus is also on the content. It’s sad, but true,” says the director.

The script needs to be good too. While most producers and directors deny this fact, actresses feel otherwise. People were wary of casting her in films and if they did, they believed that it could flop. “Three of the films I worked in didn’t work and I got the label of ‘iron leg’. The actor is always the last person to get blamed. But what struck a chord with the women in Tollywood was the part where people labelled her as an ‘iron leg’. “Yes, this exists in the film industry! People will not accept this upfront but they believe in branding actresses as ‘iron leg’ if a few of their films flop and a ‘golden leg’ if their films are a hit,” says actress Lavanya Tripathi. So when a film flops, the actress is the easiest to blame and made into a scapegoat. Several times, an actress is the last person who gets to know about changes in the script and even an assistant director knows more than the actress, so she is really not to be blamed.

She says, “The success of a film doesn’t depend only on the actress. “I was once branded an ‘iron leg’ when Bruce Lee and Kick didn’t do well.”Up until her film Gabbar Singh with Pawan Kalyan was a hit at the box office, Shruti Haasan too was known as the proverbial ‘iron leg’.”While Taapsee didn’t mention the film industry she was talking about, a look into the past will give you ample proof that she was indeed talking about the Telugu film industry. But when Nanaku Prematho became a hit, I magically changed into ‘the golden leg’,” says Rakul adding, “Giving us these names simply means that all our hard work and passion is ignored. A term that most actresses here are well-versed with and sadly, something that they all fear. While there are a handful of films that are female-centric, several of them revolve around the male lead, which leaves very little scope of acting for a woman.Rakul raises an important point. People believe that if you’re doing well, it only has to do with your luck and nothing else

It would be unfair to say that Shashi Kapoor

I think he would have liked to do more of these films, but his image as a Bollywood actor was such — and he was such a good-looking actor — that who would cast him in normal roles? He looked like a Prince! And that, I think, worked against him; he couldn’t play an ordinary man. I think the filmmakers were unfair to him instead. That was when filmmakers thought it was time to make films where he could really act. Maybe he did it because that was the cinema he believed in.I don’t think he had any regrets about not doing more parallel cinema.1975 Kabhie KabhieYash Chopra’s second directorial film with Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor in the lead roles after Deewaar, was particularly noted for its soundtrack including the song Kabhie Kabhie Mere Dil Mein. He also worked with people such as Shyam Benegal in Kalyug, and Girish Karnad in Utsav. What’s interesting to note is that Merchant Ivory cast him according to the role and not because he was a star. It is a social drama on differences between physical and spiritual love.

It was only when he was almost close to retirement MPET film manufacturers that he did movies like New Delhi Times and In Custody, which I thought were two of his best performances. Kapoor plays the role of a dashing engineer. This film is the fourth collaboration between Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor and director Yash Chopra after the hugely successful Deewaar, Kabhie Kabhie and Trishul.1978 Satyam, Shivam, SundaramThis romantic hit film has Shashi Kapoor and Zeenat Aman in the lead and was directed by Raj Kapoor.1979 Kaala patharThe disaster-drama film was based on the Chasnala mining disaster. He was doing the usual romantic hero sort of parts. Merchant Ivory had this faith in him, but it was much later that other filmmakers showed the same trust in him.1975 DeewaarThe film directed by Yash Chopra had Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor, Nirupa Roy, Parveen Babi and Neetu Singh.

It would be unfair to say that Shashi Kapoor opened up the doors to alternative cinema in India — I think the National Film Development Corporation of India did that — however, he produced movies that were offbeat and artistic despite the fact that he himself did mainstream movies. went on to become one of the most well-known dialogues in the history of Indian cinema..Kapoor’s Mere paas maa hai.The movies that he did for Merchant Ivory productions, namely The Householder, Shakespeare Wallah and Heat and Dust, were absolutely wonderful. And I think it was a challenge for him too, because in commercial cinema no one gave him roles like these. In that sense, his contribution to parallel cinema is invaluable. It is the story of impoverished brothers who find themselves on opposite sides of the law. They couldn’t give him roles that required the kind of intense performances he was capable of.(Deepa Gahlot is a film critic who co-authored The Prithviwallahs with Shashi Kapoor). For instance, Aparna Sen got her break as a director in his 36 Chowringhee Lane. They gave him roles that suited his personality

I am given the liberty to change the way

When Apurva called him “spineless,” Hansal, in a Twitter post wrote, “My spine is whatever it Heat-sealable Metalized BOPP Film is, weak or strong; it is only for my film and nothing else.PatralekhaTheatre person and director Jeff Goldberg explains how the suggestions offered by the actors can be utilised by the director. In the past, Amol Gupte, who was originally supposed to direct Taare Zameen Par, had to compromise with Aamir Khan eventually directing the film. If I chose to not speak it is for my film. This is exactly what even Patralekha concurs with.” Apurva’s post had initially sparked a lot of tension, and even spurred a completely new set of controversies.”Meanwhile, amidst all the chaos, Hansal has finally spoken his mind. “I’m fine with actors giving me suggestions that can improve the final product. As an actor, we have a perception of the character and as a director, they might have a different viewpoint, therefore, actors and directors should work together in bringing about a better way the character can be shown.”Jeff concludes with the point that art is a joint venture and not the product of one mind.” He further explains by pointing out a key difference.

The actress, who worked with Hansal for the 2014 hit CityLights opposite Rajkummar Rao, says that the director does give some liberty to actors, but he also knows where to draw a line. An actor has to say a dialogue to create an emotional connect with the audience. However, it depends, once again, heavily on the director, who wants a dialogue to be said in a particular way,” he says. But improvisation is like writing a whole new scene. “All forms of art are collaborative.Apurva took to Facebook to explain in a lengthy post how he was unhappy with Kangana for claiming that she co-wrote the script of Simran, and that he felt “betrayed” by the actress, adding, “It was demeaning for any writer’s name to be pushed after an additional writing credit. And when I do speak it will only be in service of my film (sic)”To Apurva, he said, “Don’t try to harm my film. But when it comes to actors interfering in the creative process, how much is enough?Jeff GoldbergAvinash Das, director of Anarkali Arrahwali, says that while most actors are always giving inputs and bringing new perspectives to the table, it is up to the director to know when to draw a line.Bollywood writers aren’t facing this for the first time. Kangana’s argument is simple. In an interview she gave following the controversy, she said, “If an actor is so insignificant in the scheme of things, why put him or her on the poster?” Meaning that if the film is sold because of her face, she should have a say in what goes on as the final product.

“There’s a difference between ad-libbing and improvisation. “I am given the liberty to change the way I say the dialogue and in other cases, I am not given that liberty and the directors feel that I should be limited to the lines given as those dialogues showcase the true essence of the characters.”She says it boils down to different perspectives offered by the two creative people. “As directors and actors, we have different viewpoints. Actors and writers both enhance art, and therefore, both parties need to be respected.” He recalls how when shooting for Anarkali Arrahwali with Swara Bhaskar, the actress helped the director with a few fresh ideas. Her upcoming film Simran, directed by Hansal Mehta, is the talk of the town with the writer, Apurva Asrani, accusing her of not only stealing his credits but also drastically changing the script. But, when offered the writing credits, she happily declined, saying that proposing a few ideas doesn’t make her the writer of the film. “In cases like these, the director needs to take a stand — he should know how much input is necessary and what all is excessive that needn’t be used.”—With inputs from Meenketan Jha. Ad-libbing is making a little tweak in the dialogue, but saying more or less the same thing.Kangana Ranaut has found herself in yet another full-blown controversy

Then he asked weird questions like if I would

” All the allegations had a major impact as Sajid Khan, who was currently filming his Housefull 4, has now stepped down from the directorial position. Even Journalist Karishma Upadhyay who had the misfortune of interviewing Sajid Khan in early 2000s narrated her story on Twitter. She writes, “Thru the interview he talked about how large his penis is and how he knew how to satisfy a woman. According to a source, “The film has been stalled for now and the entire star cast is packing their bags to return to Mumbai. The first two films of the franchise were also directed by Sajid and starred Akshay. Everyone involved in Housefull needs to take a firm stance on this issue. Then he asked weird questions like if I would ever get a breast job, and talked about how sex is really a mental connection.” Soon after his wife’s tweet, Akshay Kumar tweeted to assure his followers that he will not work with proven sexual offenders and has also requested the producers to halt the film shoot. The last schedule of the film was to be shot in Mumbai and now it seems the film will be put on hold till things get clear.

Saloni Chopra took to Twitter to write about the time she was looking to assist a director to learn about filmmaking when she crossed paths with Sajid.”Following the uproar, few industry members raised their voices to show support towards the survivors.Sajid Khan has been accused of sexual harassment by actresses Rachel White, Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay. Replying to Saloni, Rachel narrated how she was asked to strip in his home on the pretext that the film required her to don a bikini.” The decision was in the wake of charges of sexual misconduct against the film’s director Sajid Khan. Twinkle Khanna tweeted saying, “Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through.Putting his weight behind the China Color Coated Metalized PET Film SuppliersMeToo campaign, Akshay Kumar has asked the producers of Housefull 4 to “cancel the shoot until further investigation.. I wish I could say it will all be fine but can’t coz I really don’t know if it ever will. However, no official confirmation has come out from the makers yet. When she refused, he kept insisting. He walked out of the room to show me some DVD from his collection. Apart from Akshay Kumar, none of the cast members of Housefull 4 have taken a stand on this matter.” Opening up about the traumatic experience Saloni also mentioned how Sajid flashed at her and ‘tried to grab my hand and put it on his to show me that I didn’t give him a boner. She writes: “When I first started working for Sajid, he said I was a ‘director’s assistant’ and not an # ‘assistant director’ which apparently meant that I’d have to do his work directly.’Following Saloni’s tweet, actress Rachel White also opened up about a similar abuse from Sajid.

This cannot go on. When he returned, his penis was out. “Finally he goes ‘listen no one has a problem with these things’ (and obviously named people) and that if I could seduce him in 5 mins, the role was mine,” she added.”In his defense, Sajid Khan also put up a Twitter post in which he confirms stepping down from the directorial position of Housefull 4 ‘till the time I can allay the allegations and prove the truth’.” The source further added, “Also considering the fact that Housefull 4 is a big budget film, the producers may get some other director on board to complete the shooting. Just feel like giving u a tight hug. Actress Tapsee Pannu also replied on Saloni’s tweet saying, “I don’t know what to say after reading this.” The interview was just the beginning of the abuse and once Saloni became the ‘directors assistant’ things got worse. In the post she writes how the director asked her uncomfortable questions: “He asks questions like ‘do you masturbate?’ and ‘how many times a week?’ he also asked me if I’d ever been sexually abused, I said yes
